The patterns we see

Trading and investment platforms that exist only as a website; brokers and firms impersonating regulated names; long-contact investment fraud built on months of friendship; second approaches from people offering to recover what the first lot took; and share, bond and mining schemes sold by telephone. These are organised commercial operations with staff, scripts and budgets. Being taken in by one is not a lapse of judgement.

What a law firm can actually do

We cannot promise to get your money back, and you should treat anybody who does with suspicion. What we can do is use powers that only a court can grant: orders freezing funds before they move again, orders compelling banks and exchanges to say who holds them, and civil claims against the people and companies that received them.

One file, one team

Tracing, evidence and litigation are not separate purchases here. The people establishing where the money went are the people who will argue it, which is why the answer you get at the assessment stage is one we are prepared to stand behind later.

How this works

The steps we take

  1. Assessment

A free and confidential look at what happened and whether anything can realistically be recovered. If the answer is no, you hear it here, before you have spent anything.

  2. Establish

We work out where the money actually went — through banks, payment firms or the blockchain — and who is holding it now.

  3. Secure

Where the evidence supports it, we move to stop the funds going any further while the claim is built.

  4. Pursue

Negotiation, proceedings and enforcement against what has been found, alongside any claim against the bank that let the payment out.

Common questions

About investment & crypto recovery

It happened a long time ago. Is there any point?

Usually it is worth an hour of somebody’s time to find out. Delay makes tracing harder and some claims carry time limits, but "a while ago" is not the same as "too late", and assuming the worst costs you the chance to be wrong about it.

Everyone involved seemed to be abroad.

That is the norm rather than the exception here. English courts can make orders that bite on banks, exchanges and assets connected to this country, whoever was on the other end of the phone, and we work with lawyers in other jurisdictions where a case needs it.

I already paid somebody to recover it and nothing happened.

You are in a very large group, and it does not stop us looking. Bring whatever you were sent — it occasionally contains something useful — and be aware that unregulated recovery services are themselves one of the most common follow-up frauds.

Does this sound like your situation?

The assessment is free and confidential, and it ends with an honest view of whether anything can be recovered.
