1. Assessment

You tell us what happened, in whatever order it comes out. Somebody at the firm reads it and gives you a straight view of whether anything can realistically be recovered. This stage is free and commits you to nothing. If we do not think a matter can succeed, this is where you hear it, before you have spent anything.

  2. Establish

If you decide to go on, we work out where the money actually went. Blockchain analysis follows cryptocurrency across wallets and exchanges; forensic accounting rebuilds bank and card payments through the companies and accounts that handled them. This is the point at which "it all disappeared" becomes a specific, evidenced route.

  3. Secure

Where the evidence supports it, we apply to court — often urgently — to stop the funds moving and to compel banks or exchanges to say who is holding them. Timing carries real weight here: the value of everything that follows can depend on whether the application was made before the money went somewhere else.

  4. Pursue

The claim is taken forward through negotiation, proceedings and enforcement against what has been located, with any claim against the bank and any regulatory complaint run alongside rather than afterwards. You are told where it stands as it goes, including when that is nowhere.

Costs

Settled in writing, before the meter starts

The thing people fear most about instructing solicitors is a bill arriving from a direction they were not watching. That does not happen here, because nothing chargeable begins until the funding has been agreed.

Always

The assessment is free

Finding out where you stand costs nothing and carries no obligation, whatever you decide afterwards. You will not be charged to be told that a matter is not worth running.

Always

Agreed before anything is chargeable

How your matter is funded is settled with you in writing before any chargeable work begins. Not a schedule of rates buried in a pack — a plain explanation of what you will pay and when.

Case by case

It depends on the matter

What suits a single tracing exercise is not what suits contested proceedings, so the arrangement is worked out against your facts rather than picked off a list. We set out the realistic options for your matter at the assessment stage.

Whatever is agreed will be explained in plain terms and in writing before you decide whether to proceed.
